One of Knutsford’s most iconic buildings; The Courthouse Hotel, is delighted to announce it will now hold civil ceremonies.
The former Knutsford Crown Court, with a capacity of 400 guests in the Court Room and 100 guests in the Moneypenny Suite, is the perfect venue for formal and elegant, or romantic and intimate Cheshire weddings.
Flat Cap Hotels embarked on the restoration 18 months ago, converting the historic building into a hotel with luxury wedding and event space. Using the original architectural features of the Grade II listed Sessions building, built in 1818 and designed by architect, George Moneypenny; the stunning property has been refurbished to reflect the history and grandeur-style.
The Courthouse is ideally located opposite the town’s beautiful St John’s Church and within walking distance of Knutsford Methodist Church and Brook Street Chapel.
For those planning wedding activities prior to their Cheshire wedding, The Courthouse caters for afternoon tea hen do parties. Guests can enjoy the Classic Perrier Jouet afternoon tea or host private parties on the Rooftop Gardens, due to open in the coming months.
The Rooftop Gardens will be a stunning 100 person capacity cocktail and Champagne Bar that will be filled with botanical herbs, a Chef’s garden and seasonal flowers. Before the end of the year, 10 luxury bedrooms will be available in the wings of the building, with a further 40 bedrooms being added at the rear of the site in 2018.
Nestled in the heart of Cheshire, The Courthouse Hotel is easily accessible by car, just 2 miles from Junction 19 of the M6 motorway and 20 minutes from Manchester Airport.
