Though for culture-seekers and explorers looking to cram a little more action into their getaway, Isle of Eriska offers an abundance of activities to keep you suitably entertained.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

A great activity for both experienced shooters and beginners, Clay Pigeon Shooting is available between 10:30 and 15:00 Monday – Saturday. Put your precision to the test, or hold your own friendly tournament… the loser buys drinks in the bar afterwards! (Please note, participants must be over the age of 15).

Archery

Using the traditional longbow of the Scottish Highlands, former ‘longbow World Champion of the Wand’ 2006, Sean O’Byrne will teach you the basics of Archery at a site located a short distance from the hotel. All equipment is supplied, and full safety instructions will be covered beforehand, making it a suitable activity for the whole family.

Choose from a one hour lesson or a family group.

Sailing & Water Sports

The spectacular views of the west highlands are best seen from the sea. So head out for the day sailing on a luxury yacht, or sip cocktails as the sun sets whilst you recline on a modern motor vessel. If you’re after something a little more action-packed, try out a kayaking trip with Sea Kayak Oban.

Fishing

Fishing on the west coast has had some very successful seasons. Take a trip in a local boat out to catch your own deep sea fish (the very same fish served in the daily changing menu from Head Chef, Paul Leonard). Inverawe Fisheries is only a 30 minute drive away from the hotel.

Mountain Biking

Get on your bike and explore the island with a TREK mountain bike. Bikes can be hired between 08:00 and 16:00 daily for a 24 hour period., giving you plenty of time to navigate the island itself, or head off a little further afield.

Walking

Eriska offers 300 acres of stunning terrain to explore, with stunning sea views, a bridge over the Loch and plenty of perfect opportunities for those enchanting Instagram snaps! (Don’t forget to tag @isleoferiska!)

Croquet

What is a country house hotel without its own croquet lawn? A great afternoon activity for all ages, play your own way… or ask us our rules. The choice is yours.

Indoor Sports Hall

The hotel has it’s very own sports hall which is open year round for a whole host of activities and functions. Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary use of the sports hall for one hour sports sessions, 7 days a week.

So whether you’re planning a weekend of relaxation or an adventure-filled private island break, you’ll find plenty of satisfy your inner culture vulture on the stunning Isle of Eriska.
