Le Saint-James in Bouliac, is inviting food lovers to experience a whole new world of culinary culture over a two-day stay at the contemporary Relais & Chateaux hotel.

The Culinary Culture package is priced at €700 plus VAT per couple and includes a 2-day/1-night stay in a double room, a drink on arrival, a gourmet meal for two with wine in the hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant, breakfast plus time with hotel Executive Chef, Nicolas Magie and one of the hotel’s local artisan producers.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of wine on the hotel terrace overlooking the River Garonne and given the unique opportunity to spend quality time with hotel’s Michelin-starred chef, Nicolas Magie and discover more about food and the philosophy of cooking. Guests will then accompany Nicolas on an exclusive two-hour visit to a local producer and supplier of the hotel.

The hotel is a food lover’s dream and its gastronomic restaurant headed up Nicolas Magie is widely regarded as one of the Aquitaine region’s finest restaurants. The exclusive Culinary Culture package includes a meal for two with wine, water and coffee after dinner. The hotel has its own vineyard and a fabulous traditional French bistro in the village of Bouliac that’s just a short walk for guests wanting to explore the locality. The bistro provides traditional rotisserie dishes and a tantalising selection of homemade desserts that attract visitors from far and wide.

Cookery classes are also available in the hotel’s “Côté Cours” on-site cookery school and can be tailored according to the varying abilities of guests. Guests can learn new skills such as how to prepare fresh scallops and concoct simple, yet colourful and creative dishes, which can then be enjoyed in the cookery school with a glass of fine wine.

Custom-designed by iconic architect Jean Nouvel, the focal point for each of the hotel’s 18 luxurious bedrooms is the view. Each bed is carefully placed in line with the expansive windows offering breathtaking panoramic views over the hotel’s vineyards, outdoor heated swimming pool, the River Garonne and the beautiful city of Bordeaux in the distance.

Food lovers will also enjoy the Marché de Producteurs which is hosted by the hotel and open to both guests and visitors. Featuring gastronomic delights from local suppliers, hotel guests can wander across the hotel’s shaded terrace, sampling and purchasing the fresh, seasonal produce on display.
