On Thursday 28th September, The Courthouse is inviting guests to enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake as they put on their aprons to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning from 10am until 1pm.
With generous help from Lucy Farndon and Dee Griffiths at Knutsford Bake Club, the Moneypenny Suite will fill with sweet treats, mini bites and plenty of show stoppers for visitors to indulge and catch up with friends. With tea and coffee provided by Barristers Restaurant and Bar, guests will only be asked for donations for cakes. The Courthouse is also inviting locals to participate and bring along a cake of their own in support.
The annual Macmillan Coffee Morning is officially on Friday 29th September and is the world’s biggest coffee morning. Last year the national event raised £29.5 million, making it Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
The Moneypenny Suite will host the fundraising event and is free to all registered charities that wish to hold an event at The Courthouse, with a total capacity of 100. The Courthouse successfully opened the Barristers Restaurant and Bar in July, with the Rooftop Gardens and 10 bedrooms opening before the end of the year.
