The 14th August marks the start of National Afternoon Tea week, the perfect time to indulge in one of England’s finest traditions, and a great excuse to eat cake (as if we needed one)!

So we’ve rounded up a few of the best Afternoon Tea offers around, from weekend stays to exclusive events, so you can find the perfect Afternoon Tea for you.

To start the celebrations in style, The Courthouse is running an exclusive blogger’s event on the 10th August, to coincide with the launchof Barrister’s Bar and Restaurant. Enjoy a Courthouse specially-crafted ‘Cheshire Cocktail’ on arrival, followed by a variety of freshly prepared finger sandwiches and delicious cakes. If you are a Cheshire based blogger, foodie or journalist and would like to be part of the fantastic event, get in touch.

For the ultimate luxury stay, boutique country hotel The Vicarage offers a night’s stay in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, with breakfast included and a delightful afternoon tea. Treat yourself to warm fruit scones served with strawberries and clotted cream, and a variety of finger sandwiches all for only £130 per night or £220 for two nights.

For those that fancy something a bit more adventurous, Dewsall Court offers a unique ‘Alfresco’ opportunity, featuring all the benefits of an outdoor picnic, without the hassle of preparing it yourself. At Dewsall Court you can enjoy freshly prepared sandwiches, fruit and yoghurt, all from a little camp set up for you in the tranquil Herefordshire countryside.

And if you don’t have time to leave the office, don’t worry. Enjoy Dewsall’s special Boardroom Picnic, where you can still join in the Afternoon Tea Week festivities with a selection of mini sandwiches, hot bites and salads, all whilst sitting around the boardroom table.

For an extra treat, combine your Afternoon Tea with a Summer Spa Day at the luxurious Fishmore Hall Spa. Choose from a selection of relaxing options for your 30 minute treatment, get access to the spa facilities, and fluffy robes, slippers and towels all included before enjoying a cream tea with homemade scones, clotted cream and fresh strawberry jam. Enjoy between midday and 6pm, Monday to Friday for only £99 for two.

Finally, for a traditional luxury afternoon tea, the Isle of Eriska offers an exquisite afternoon treat for just £15 per person. Enjoy traditional Scottish shortbread, and locally sourced smoked salmon with cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches. If you have an upcoming special occasion, or just really fancy a truly luxurious experience, you have the option of the Champagne Afternoon tea, with all the benefits of a traditional afternoon tea, with the added bonus of a glass of champagne, for only £27 per person.

However you choose to celebrate National Afternoon Tea day, let us know!
