This summer, brides and their guests can enjoy one of Dewsall Court’s latest wedding food trends … delicious soup sips. In true Dewsall style, the Grade II listed country house will be serving soup sips to wedding guests in vintage china cups, highlighting the estate’s eclectic mix of old and new. Made using the best local, seasonal ingredients, examples include: Wild Nettle and Wild Garlic Soup with Chive Cream; Rich Lobster Bisque with Lobster and Sea Salt Croutons; and Cucumber Soup with Prawns and Dill Cream.
High on the popular wedding food trends for the summer months, the soup sips are served chilled and are the perfect way to welcome guests or to serve as a pre-dinner palate refresher.
Dewsall Court’s owner, Samantha Vaughan, commented: “A soup sip can be a great canapé but we also serve them ahead of the starter to welcome guests to the table. It’s a great way to tantalise taste buds in anticipation of the feast ahead and is an inexpensive and stylish amuse-bouche to further indulge your guests.”
No stranger to staying ahead of the trends, Dewsall Court is fast becoming recognised as a foodie haven with its esteemed Dinner Parties at Dewsall. Typically an exclusive use home, Dewsall opens its doors for a series of dinner parties throughout the year. Well-known chefs are invited to host the evening, creating a delicious four course dinner in an intimate setting.
Situated in 12 acres of breathtaking grounds, the estate is the ideal place to celebrate a wedding or an engagement in quintessentially British style and guests can take over the entire house and its grounds to create a completely bespoke wedding.
The stunning Wainhouse Barn, which has recently been refurbished, accommodates up to 175 guests. The house has 10 bedrooms, each with an individual, stylish decor, and there are a variety of spaces in the house including a conservatory, a library and a billiard room.
Civil ceremonies can be held inside or outside in the house’s grounds, or in Dewsall Court’s ancient church, located on the estate, which dates back to before Doomsday. With unforgettable panoramas; from the lush gardens, the breathtaking lake, to the backdrop of the Black Mountains, there are endless opportunities for unrivalled wedding photography.
Wedding celebrations start from £4,120 for a two night exclusive use stay.
